Real world experience through Work Integrated Learning
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities such as placements, industry projects and work simulations significantly increase graduate employment outcomes and prepare students to transition into the workforce. But for them to be effective, quality program design and strong partnerships between universities and industry are essential. We help you find real world opportunities and create more streamlined systems to scale up your programs.
Program design and operations
Keeping on top of all the processes involved in scaling your student placements can seem like an arduous task. We help you build a centralised system that allows you to manage processes and work flow, student and host communication, new business development, client engagement, and documentation management (e.g. terms and conditions, OHS reports, ethical checks). We can also help you set up metrics and reporting, as well as surveys to hosts and students to ensure your program is hitting your quality benchmarks.
Getting students work-ready
Work readiness and induction training gives your students the best chance of hitting the ground running when they secure a placement. But it is not just students who benefit from training. We also train host organisations to equip them with the skills to manage students throughout their placements.
Creating a front door for industry
Making it easy for industry to engage with you is a key factor in creating successful university placement programs. We work with you to establish a centralised hub, with standardised processes that encourage industry engagement. We also train your staff in proven business development techniques giving you the capacity to build deep and fulfilling industry relationships that last
Boost your graduate employment outcomes
One of the main goals of work-based learning opportunities is to help your students be as employable as possible. We conduct hands-on, interactive workshops that target key pain points in the employment process to give your students the best chance of success:
- Resume writing and updating your LinkedIn profile
- The art of effective networking
- How to nail video and face-to-face interviews
- Mock graduate assessment centres
In this workshop, students participate in a realistic assessment centre simulation, incorporating an individual and group activity. Students are also given a behind the scenes look at how assessors rate and assess, and top tips on how to succeed at assessment centres from experienced graduate recruiters.
Selection processes for university programs
If you receive a large number of applications for a particular program or experience within your university, we can help with your selection process. We take the time to understand what you are looking for and design a selection process to help you get the students with the capabilities, skills or experiences you need. The selection process may include: application forms, video interviews, group assessment centres and/or face to face interviews.
We can also work with you to develop the activities, interview guides, rubrics, scoring sheets, facilitation guides, and assessor training needed, and then project manage and/or facilitate either the whole or part of the process.
Let's make it happen.
