Who is Lou Zoanetti?
Lou has been diving deep in the graduate program world for over a decade, creating innovative ways to connect the right students with the right businesses. She brings both a senior strategic perspective as well as extensive experience working in the operational side of graduate program recruitment and development. But more than that, after years working in the corporate and university sectors, her unparalleled experience bridging the needs of employers, students and universities means her graduate programs deliver results.
So where did it all start? With a degree in PR and Communications under her belt, Lou worked across marketing, communication and corporate affairs roles before she found her passion for new and emerging talent. She began her work in graduate programs at NAB where she managed the $20 million end-to-end graduate program for five years. This included identifying gaps in the workforce, thinking strategically about where graduates might be placed, creating marketing and recruitment campaigns as well as the operational management of the 18 month graduate program.
She then took these skills to the university sector. In her time at Monash University, Lou managed a team of 25 and expanded the university’s centralised internship program across six faculties – Arts, Business & Economics, Science, Engineering, Biomedical Science and Education. She also set up a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Business Development methodology that allowed her team to seamlessly engage with thousands of potential employers. This allowed her to grow the program by a factor of three, placing over 3000 graduates across 1000 different companies each year. Her role also covered workshops and training, assessment centres and inductions.
Lou’s approach is all about building strategic relationships between universities and businesses and using data and metrics to track the success of the student or graduate life cycle. She has high standards when it comes to ethics and performance, and her approach is knowledgeable, authentic and enthusiastic. Lou is now using her unmatched experience at Zoanetti Consulting.
